Through our joint effort with the Coconut Creek Police Department to share updates with residents, this is a summary of Coconut Creek’s crime and arrests through March 13.
Burglary – Residence
A 32-year-old male was the victim of Burglary – Residence at Banyan Bay Apartments on W Atlantic Blvd was reported on 03/08/2023. The total estimated loss was $2,350.
Theft – Retail/Shoplifting
Home Depot was the victim of Theft – Retail/Shoplifting on N State Road 7, reported on 03/07/2023. The total estimated loss was $742.
Theft – All Other
A 36-year-old male was the victim of Theft – All Other on Halton Park Lane was reported on 03/08/2023. The total estimated loss was $699.
Theft – From Building
Regions Bank was the victim of Theft – From Building at 4808 Coconut Creek Parkway, reported on 03/09/2023. The total estimated loss was $1,983.
A 58-year-old male was the victim of Theft – From a Building on W Hillsboro Blvd was reported on 03/08/2023. The total estimated loss was $500. The victim reported $500 was stolen from his wallet after he dropped it in the gym.
Theft – From Motor Vehicle
A 40-year-old female was the victim of Theft – From Motor Vehicle, reported on 03/11/2023. The total estimated loss was $751.
Threat Assessment
Threat Assessment Report at 5400 Johnson Road was reported on 03/10/2023. Tradewinds Elementary – After a conflict with another classmate, a second grader said he would bring a gun to school.
Disturbance – Other
Disturbance – Other at 4690 Coconut Creek Parkway was reported on 03/07/2023. Dave Thomas Educational Center – Received information of a student possibly carrying a firearm in school. Investigation revealed no firearm but a cell phone case resembling a firearm clipped inside a student’s shorts.
Arrests
Brown, Kamala Casandra, 30, was arrested on a charge of Touch Or
Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence on 03/07/2023.
Pugh, Jonathan Kevis, 34, was arrested on a charge of Petit Theft 1st Deg Prop $100 To <$750 at 4849 Coconut Creek Parkway on 03/07/2023.
Silver, Stacy Eve, 46, was arrested on a Petit Theft-2nd Degree – 1st Offense charge at 4450 N State Road 7 on 03/07/2023.
Pompilus, Wilguens, 30, was arrested on a charge of Driving While License
Suspended/Cancelled/Revoked at 200 Lyons Road on 03/09/2023.
Jamel, Brandon Elan, 28, was arrested on a charge of Dui 1st Offense at 3700 W Sample Road on 03/10/2023.
