Coconut Creek Police responded to various calls from February 25 to March 3. Below is a detailed account of the incidents handled by local law enforcement during this period.
Theft and Burglary
Theft – From Building – A purse containing approximately $1,500 worth of items was stolen at Publix (4849 Coconut Creek Pkwy) between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 25.
Retail Theft/Shoplifting – Sephora (4455 Lyons Rd) reported a theft between Feb. 20 and Feb. 26, with a total estimated loss of $417.
Retail Theft/Shoplifting – Sephora (4455 Lyons Rd) reported another theft on Feb. 26, with a total estimated loss of $1,110.
Retail Theft/Shoplifting – CVS Pharmacy (4550 Lyons Rd) reported a theft on March 2, with an estimated loss of $1.
Retail Theft/Shoplifting – The Hookup (6738 N State Road 7) reported a theft on March 2, with a total estimated loss of $31.
Theft – From Motor Vehicle – Reported on March 1 at 5555 Regency Lakes Blvd, with a total estimated loss of $40.
Theft – From Motor Vehicle – Reported on March 2 at 5670 NW 74th Pl, with a total estimated loss of $50.
Grand Theft Auto – Al Hendrickson Toyota (5201 W Sample Rd) reported an auto theft between Aug. 8, 2024, and Feb. 24, 2025.
Petit Theft – Reported on March 2, involving a total estimated loss of $2.
Fraud and Identity Theft
Fraud – Identity Theft – A case of identity theft was reported on Feb. 26 at 6660 NW 41st Ter.
Fraud – Worthless Check – A business at 6564 N State Road 7 reported fraudulent checks on Feb. 28.
Fraud – Other – A 19-year-old woman was scammed out of $400 while attempting to purchase a dog online on Feb. 28.
Fraud – Wire/Computer – A 73-year-old victim reported sending $1,000 in an online scam between Jan. 18 and Feb. 26.
Assault and Battery
Battery – Simple Touch/Strike – Reported on Feb. 25 at 4250 NW 30th St.
Battery – Simple Touch/Strike – Reported on Feb. 26 at 5400 Wiles Rd; both involved parties were arrested.
Battery – Simple Touch/Strike – Reported on Feb. 27 at 5420 Lyons Rd.
Battery – Simple Touch/Strike – Reported on March 1 at 5621 Winston Park Blvd N.
Battery – Simple Touch/Strike – Reported on March 2 at 4443 Lyons Rd.
Domestic Battery – Two arrests were made on March 1 at 5621 Winston Park Blvd N.
Arrests
DUI and Narcotics Arrest – Two individuals were arrested following a traffic stop at 3900 Wiles Rd on Feb. 25 for DUI and narcotics violations.
Robbery (No Firearm or Weapon) – Brandon Salvador Rosen, 18, was arrested on March 1 at 4100 Cocoplum Cir.
Grand Theft Auto – Antonio Jacobs, 32, was arrested on March 1 at 4250 N State Road 7.
Theft – From Building – Lynashia Ann McDowell, 18, was arrested on March 2 at 5571 SR 810.
Petit Theft – 2nd Degree (1st Offense) – Lynashia Ann McDowell, 18, was arrested again on March 2.
Miscellaneous Incidents
Animal Bite – Reported on Feb. 25 at 6222 N State Road 7.
Animal Bite – Reported on Feb. 27 at 4181 W Hillsboro Blvd.
Baker Act Cases – Several incidents involving individuals placed under the Baker Act throughout the week.
Threat Assessment – A kindergarten student at Coconut Creek Elementary made a verbal threat on Feb. 28.
Trespassing – Several individuals were issued trespass warnings at Walmart, Publix, Home Depot, and other locations.
Fleeing and Eluding Law Enforcement – A suspect fled from officers on Feb. 28 at 4508 NW 20th St.
