Coconut Creek Police responded to various calls from December 3 to December 9. Below is a detailed account of the incidents handled by local law enforcement during this period.
December 3, 2024
Theft: 6500-6600 block of W Atlantic Blvd.
Five hundred feet of copper wire was stolen from an underground utility box on the southside sidewalk of the roadway overnight.
Capias Arrest: 6700 W Atlantic Blvd.
Charges: Felony possession of cocaine, felony petit theft.
Following a theft at Walgreens (7150 W Atlantic Blvd.), dispatch described the suspect, who was walking eastbound on the sidewalk. The suspect, Nielson, informed officers of an outstanding warrant. He was arrested and TOT BSO Main.
December 4, 2024
Retail Theft: Walgreens, 7150 W Atlantic Blvd.
Two unknown suspects fled in a Chrysler minivan after stealing items from the store.
Theft: 5491 NW 15th St.
Six scrap AC units valued at $300 were stolen from a trailer parked at the rear of the building.
Theft: CVS, 1200 N SR-7.
A male subject and a female subject stole mouthwash and toiletries. The male fled the scene on a purple bicycle.
Burglary: Public Storage, 5150 W Copans Rd.
A storage unit was broken into, and items were stolen.
December 5, 2024
Burglary Conveyance: Winfield Blvd.
A 2004 Chevy Trailblazer was left unlocked, and no forced entry was observed.
December 6, 2024
Domestic Battery Arrest: NW 14th Pl.
Defendant: Joshua Stinger, 32.
The defendant struck the victim multiple times during an argument. He was arrested and TOT BSO Main.
December 7, 2024
Domestic/Sexual Battery: Vista Dr.
The victim reported being sexually battered. CID responded to conduct further investigation.
Warrant Arrest: 1100 S SR-7.
A suspicious vehicle led to contact with a subject who had an active warrant. The subject was arrested and TOT BSO.
Trespass/Resist/Obstruction Arrest: 1000 N SR-7 (Fair).
A subject refused to leave the fair after warnings and was arrested.
December 8, 2024
Burglary: Value Store It Self Storage, 5185 Coconut Creek Parkway.
Between December 1 and December 8, rare collectible dolls and toys valued at $5,000 were stolen. The victims found their unit’s lock missing and a new lock installed.
Theft: NW 80th Ter.
At 2:23 a.m., surveillance video captured a subject stealing a Christmas decoration (Snoopy inflatable).
Domestic Violence Battery Arrest: Concert Ln.
Defendant: Sterling Duval (DOB 05/25/79).
DUI & Child Neglect Arrest: 150 N SR-7.
Defendant: Karisa Corniel (DOB 06/07/91).
The defendant was found asleep behind the wheel of a vehicle in drive with her infant child in the back seat.
December 9, 2024
Auto Theft: U-Haul, 1700 N SR-7.
A rented 2018 orange/white Ford F650 U-Haul truck was not returned.
Felony Possession Arrest: 1490 N SR-7.
Offender: Victoria Chu (DOB 07/27/2005).
A traffic stop revealed cannabis wax and paraphernalia in the vehicle. The offender was arrested and taken to BSO Main.
