The City of Coconut Creek invites local youth to take part in its upcoming Youth Catch and Cradle Lacrosse Clinic, a program tailored to introduce children to the fundamentals of lacrosse.
Open to boys and girls aged 8 to 12, the clinic’s goal is to help participants build foundational skills in this fast-paced and exciting sport.
The program is designed for beginners with little to no prior experience in lacrosse. Participants will engage in drills that enhance their conditioning, agility, footwork, and hand-eye coordination. They’ll also learn key offensive and defensive techniques, including throwing, catching, and scoring.
Sessions take place every Thursday evening from January 9 through February 13, 2025, from 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.
The clinic will be at Hosford Park, 4422 Coconut Creek Boulevard. Registration is now open, with a fee of $15 for Coconut Creek residents and $20 for non-residents. Payments are accepted by credit card only.
Space is limited to just 10 participants to ensure personalized instruction, and registration will remain open until the program is full. Parents can register their children online at CoconutCreek.net/WebTrac, at the Community Center located at 1100 Lyons Road, or at the Recreation Complex at 4455 Sol Press Boulevard.
Online registrants must first create a WebTrac account; assistance with account setup is available by contacting the Community Center at 954-545-6670.
