The City of Coconut Creek invites young artists to explore their creativity with “Spring Painting for Kids,” an engaging art program for children ages 7 to 11.
Participants will experiment with acrylic, watercolor, and other mediums to create landscapes, still life, and abstract works of art. Using photographic references for inspiration, they will learn essential techniques, including color theory, brushwork, perspectives, and varnishing.
The program runs on Mondays from April 7 through April 28, with sessions held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Recreation Complex at 4455 Sol Press Boulevard.
Registration is now open and will continue until all 10 spots are filled. The cost is $75 for Coconut Creek residents and $85 for non-residents, with payment accepted by credit card only.
Interested participants can register online at CoconutCreek.net/WebTrac or at the Recreation Complex or the Community Center at 1100 Lyons Road. A WebTrac account is required for online registration. For assistance with setting up an account, residents can contact the Recreation Complex at 954-956-1580.
