Pickleball Courts at Coconut Creek. {City of Coconut Creek}
Coconut Creek is inviting women to hit the courts this fall for a recreational pickleball league offering competition, exercise, and social play.
The Women’s Pickleball League is open to players ages 18 and older and is recommended for those with intermediate to advanced skills. Games will be played Tuesdays from Sept. 29 through Dec. 15 at the Community Center outdoor courts, 1100 Lyons Road.
The league will feature eight regular-season games, followed by playoffs and a championship. Participants will compete in a rotational-partner round-robin format and play at least three games each night.
Games will begin at 6, 7 or 8 p.m. No games are scheduled for Nov. 3 or Nov. 24. If needed, rainout games will be held on Thursdays.
Registration costs $55 for Coconut Creek residents and $75 for nonresidents. Credit cards are the only accepted payment method.
Residents must provide a state-issued driver’s license or valid passport along with a voter registration card or a water, cable, or electric bill showing proof of residency. Bills must be dated within two months of submission.
Registration is open until the league reaches its 42-player capacity. Participants may register online at CoconutCreek.gov/WebTrac or in person at the Community Center or Recreation Complex, 4455 Sol Press Blvd.
A WebTrac account is required to register online. Assistance with creating an account is available at either walk-in location.
