Coconut Creek residents will notice improved sidewalks and landscaping along Lyons Road.
During the February 26 meeting, the commission passed a resolution allowing a tri-party revocable license agreement between Broward County, the owners of Cocomar Property, and the city to maintain the sidewalks, landscaping, and other improvements within the right-of-way of Lyons Road, north of Atlantic Boulevard, related to the Greystar Cocomar Development.
In 2023, the commission granted site plan approval for the design and construction of a warehouse complex, known as the Greystar Cocomar Development Project, located along West Atlantic Boulevard at the northwest corner of Lyons Road.
A portion of the Cocomar improvements, including sidewalks, landscaping, and irrigation along an adjacent segment of approximately 1,000 feet of the western limits of the Lyons Road right-of-way, will be built within Broward County’s property.
The commission recognizes the need to enter into this agreement and to designate and set forth maintenance responsibilities related to the improvements.
According to the city agenda, Cocomar will be responsible for maintaining the property after the project is completed.
