Coconut Creek Community Center {Coconut Creek}
The City of Coconut Creek’s Creative Writing for Children program offers an exciting summer opportunity for young writers.
Designed for children ages 8 to 12, the class will give participants the chance to explore their creativity by writing about a variety of topics and sharing their work with peers in a supportive classroom environment.
Classes will be held on Mondays from June 16 through June 30, from 6:15 p.m. to 7:45 p.m., at the Coconut Creek Community Center located at 1100 Lyons Road. The cost for the three-week program is $30 for Coconut Creek residents and $40 for non-residents. Payment is accepted by credit card only.
Children attending the program should bring a notebook with lined paper and a pencil with an eraser to each class. Space is limited to 10 participants to ensure individual attention and a collaborative setting.
Registration is now open and will remain available until all spots are filled. Interested families can register online at CoconutCreek.net/WebTrac or in person at the Community Center or the Recreation Complex at 4455 Sol Press Boulevard. A WebTrac account is required for online registration. For help setting up an account or for more information, contact the Community Center at 954-545-6670.
