As the momentum builds for the 2024 election year, the Coconut Creek Margate Democratic Club is intensifying its efforts to broaden its membership through an upcoming meeting.
In a move to involve newly relocated Democrats in the area, the Club has scheduled a monthly meeting for Tuesday, February 13, at 7:30 p.m. at the Coconut Creek Community Center, located at 1100 Lyons Road.
During the meeting, members will embark on a postcard-writing campaign to welcome Democrats who have recently moved into the community.
This meeting initiative seeks to introduce them to the Club’s activities and rally support for Democratic candidates in the upcoming elections and the Club’s plans for the coming year.
In addition to the postcard project, the Democratic Club will cover some upcoming events they’ll be participating in, including the Coconut Creek Butterfly Festival on Saturday, February 24, from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Sabal Pines Park.
Members and interested individuals are encouraged to ask questions or suggestions via email at admin@coconutcreekdemocraticclub.org.
The Coconut Creek – Margate Democratic Club, formed in March 2023 through a merger, is designed to connect individuals from various backgrounds, including lifelong Democrats, former members, NPAs/independents, or those considering joining to participate in its activities.
The Club holds monthly meetings at 7:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month to discuss important issues impacting families, communities, and the nation, aligning with Democratic values of contributing positively to the country.
Meetings alternate between Coconut Creek (February-July, December) and Margate (August-January). A full breakdown of the dates can be found here.
