Mugsy is a well-behaved boy ready to go home to a loving family. This gorgeous American Staffordshire Terrier is three, weighs 62 pounds, and has been at the shelter since July.
According to Broward County Animal Care, Mugsy has patiently waited for his forever family and quietly passed the time in his kennel. He would benefit from a lunch buddy date, foster inquiry, or, ideally, an adoption application to start a new life outside the shelter.
He recently went on his first Broward Buddies date and loved it. He is intelligent and playful, listens to commands well, and is completely housebroken. One of his favorite activities is playing fetch and then sitting for treats. A medium-sized dog with a beautiful brindle coat, Mugsy walks well with a harness and is working on being dog-friendly.
To adopt Mugsy (A2199736), foster, or take a dog out for lunch, email the shelter at foster@broward.org. To schedule a meet-and-greet appointment and learn more about adoptable pets, email ACADadoptions@broward.org.
The Adoption Center at Broward County Animal Care is located at 2400 SW 42 Street, Fort Lauderdale, and is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Adoptions are free and include spaying/neutering, vaccinations, a microchip, and a Broward County pet license tag.
