With the increase in Omicron cases, COVID-19 testing sites are re-opening. In addition to pharmacies, tests are now available at no cost at the following places in Parkland.
Equestrian Center
8350 Ranch Road
Monday, Jan. 3 – Friday, Jan. 7
8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Compass Health offers free drive-thru COVID-19 testing at the Equestrian Center. The tests are PCR tests by saliva collection, so do not eat or drink for 30 minutes before testing. Results may take up to three to five days, and no appointment is necessary.
Chabad of Parkland
7170 Loxahatchee Road
7 a.m. – 8 p.m. daily
BeeperMD is providing tests by appointment at Chabad of Parkland. Rapid Antigen test results are provided immediately, and COVID PCR results are emailed within 36 hours.
CVS
7621 North State Road 7
CVS offers COVID-19 testing, starting at age 10, by appointment only with no out-of-pocket cost for those with insurance, as well as a federal program for the uninsured. Anyone without health insurance needs to bring their social security number, driver’s license, or State ID to the store.
Baptist Health
The Shoppes at Heron Lakes
5673 Coral Ridge Drive
9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily
Baptist Health offers COVID-19 testing at all their Urgent Care and Urgent Care Express locations. No appointments are needed, and a prescription is not required. Most insurance plans fully cover tests, and uninsured patients may qualify for federal coverage.
The Families First Coronavirus Response Act ensures that COVID-19 testing is free to anyone in the United States, including the uninsured.
