The Florida Trail Association is hosting its monthly meeting on April 13, 2023, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Fern Forest Nature Center in Coconut Creek.
The event promises to be an engaging and informative evening, with refreshments served and a special guest speaker, Dr. Cary Woodruff, the Curator of Vertebrate Paleontology, at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Miami.
Dr. Woodruff will be discussing the fascinating field of dinosaur paleontology and how paleontologists search for fossils in remote and desolate areas around the world. He will also be sharing insights into the process of retrieving these ancient specimens and transporting them back to museums for further study.
If you’re unable to attend in person, the event will also be available to join via Zoom. Simply email Fla.happyhoofers@gmail.com to receive the Zoom link.
