Coconut Creek continues to produce elite baseball players, with Julian Rodriguez becoming the latest commit.
“I would like to thank Coach Steedly and Coach Smith for giving me the opportunity, and this would not be possible without the sacrifice my family has made for me, “Rodriguez said. “Thank you to all my coaches, mentors, and friends who have helped guide me in the right direction.”
Rodriguez, who won a State Championship his freshman year, plays high school baseball at North Broward Prep and has hit .257 in his career, with one home run, seven extra-base hits, and 19 RBIs. He also pitched and has a career ERA of. 90 after winning three games during his freshman season and recording five saves the last two years.
Rodriguez has two years left on the varsity baseball team before going on to play in college for a team that won 23 games a season ago and has been to three NCAA Tournaments. He will join his former teammate, Riley Luft, who recently completed his freshman year in college.
