Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes and other incidents that occurred in Parkland through July 27.
Illegal Dumping
7200 NW 82nd Ter – The Ranches
On July 24, several piles of bulk trash were scattered throughout the Ranches neighborhood. One pile appeared to be from illegal dumping. Photos were taken, and code enforcement was notified.
6700 block of NW 83rd Ter – The Ranches
On July 25, a driver was in the area illegally dumping trash in a white GMC utility landscaping truck with tape covering the tag. Fresh trash was found in the same shape of the truck bed and the same matching yard clippings.
Abandoned Vehicle
15410 Loxahatchee Rd/Bishop Pit Rd
On July 21, a trailer was abandoned on the roadway with broken tail lights and no trailer tag, BSO advised trailer was not reported missing or stolen. The trailer’s registered owner was contacted, and information with the case number was received and forwarded. The trailer was towed to Westway towing for safekeeping until the registered owner could make arrangements to recover it.
Auto Theft
9400 block of Satinleaf – Parkland Golf & Country Club
On July 23, a victim alleges her 2015 White Porsche Panamera was stolen from the driveway of her residence. The vehicle was unlocked with the key inside the vehicle.
Criminal Mischief
6500 block of NW 110th Ave/ Parkland Isles Blvd – Parkland Isles
On July 25, an unknown person spray-painted graffiti “Die young” on the sidewalk. Incident documented.
Domestic Disturbance
8800 block of Edgewater Pl – MiraLago
On July 21, BSO met the resident who called to have her boyfriend, escorted out of the house. Further investigation revealed that he had moved in three months ago, received mail there, and had a Florida driver’s license with the address. She was advised that they could not legally escort him from the property, but he willingly left. Eviction procedures advised.
Extortion/Blackmail
7000 block of NW 83rd Ter – The Ranches
On July 20, the victim alleges that a suspect was extorting money from him.
Gas Leak
10400 block of W MiraLago Dr/Nob Hill Rd – Cascata
On July 24, there was a gas leak just inside of the Cascata development at 8:10 a.m. The Sunrise Hazmat Fire Rescue Team and the Teco Gas Company responded to close and repair the valve. The valve was closed, and the scene was made safe at 9:09 a.m.

11535 Osprey Trail – Heron Bay
On July 23, subjects playing competitive basketball games in the community clubhouse basketball court were not complying with the COVID-19 ordinance and community guidelines. KW management for the Heron Bay community placed a work order to remove the basketball rims.
7200 block of NW 65th Ter
On July 23, BSO was dispatched to the location about harassing phone calls. The victim stated that he received three phone calls from an unknown number that were disturbing in nature. He later found out that the calls were made by some old friends of his. The victim wanted the incident documented.
Theft of Bicycle
5800 block of Holmberg Rd
On July 24, BSO was dispatched about the recovery of a stolen bicycle. Upon arrival, they spoke to the complainant, who stated that she located one of her three bicycles that were stolen. The complainant also said that she still has one bicycle that was still missing and was taken from her home over a week prior.
Theft/Retail/Shoplifting
7621 N State Road 7 – CVS
On July 23, an unknown subject removed approximately $2,000.00 in cosmetics from the store without attempting to pay. The subject on video appears to have a light complexion, dark hair, facial hair, a husky build, wearing a white V-neck T-shirt, blue shorts, white shoes, and a mask. Subject left in a black Mercedes sedan.
