Adolphus Tabise Greene {BSO}
By Ryan Yousefi
After a disturbing incident, a man has been apprehended and is in custody after he allegedly broke into a former girlfriend’s Coconut Creek residence, assaulted her, kept her against her will, and threatened to shoot her in the mouth and vagina.
The victim, who endured more than eight hours of confinement, could only break free once her captor fell asleep.
On September 16, the Coconut Creek Police Department responded to a residence in the Banyan Bay Apartment Complex at 4303 W Atlantic Blvd in response to a 911 home invasion and assault.
According to the report, upon arrival on the scene, officers were greeted by a victim who claimed her ex-boyfriend, later identified as Adolphus Tabise Greene, 35, was the man responsible for the invasion and subsequent assault with a firearm.
The victim told officers the terrifying ordeal began around midnight when Greene entered her residence through the balcony sliding door, a clear violation of the restraining order that had been issued against him.
Desperate to reconcile their relationship, Greene confronted her in her bedroom, sparking a verbal altercation, and as tensions escalated, the victim told officers she retreated to her bed to defuse the situation. However, Greene refused to leave, instead taking a chair beside her bed.
The victim recounted how their verbal argument took a violent turn, with Greene allegedly turning physically abusive, choking her with both hands and applying significant pressure to her face, resulting in a split lip.
As the victim struggled, Greene reportedly snatched the victim’s nearby purse, which was located beside the bed, and retrieved a black firearm that was inside. He allegedly inserted the weapon into her mouth, threatening her with the words, “You’re not going anywhere; you’re my bitch.”
The victim told officers the ordeal took an even darker turn when Greene pointed the firearm at her head and vagina. The report shows that it remains unclear whether the gun was loaded.
According to the victim, she made a courageous attempt to escape, darting for the door only to be physically blocked by Greene. She was forced back into the living room, where a violent altercation ensued, leading to her head making contact with the ground.
While holding the victim against her will, Greene allegedly confiscated her phone and disconnected the internet, isolating her further. Exhausted, the victim told officers she fell asleep, still captive, but awoke at 8:00 a.m. to find Greene still in her bed.
Seizing an opportunity, she fled, located her phone in the bed, and called 911. In response, Greene fled the scene upon realizing what she had done.
Officers managed to locate and apprehend Greene near the complex’s pool area and, upon his arrest, found him in possession of a firearm magazine.
Greene was arrested and transported to the Broward County Main Jail, where he is held on a $18,000 bond.
Greene faces multiple felony charges, including domestic battery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
