The most recent Empowering Women Luncheon held by the Parkland Chamber of Commerce drew over 150 guests eager to hear from State Representative Christine Hunschofsky about her career challenges as a woman in politics.

At the next edition of this biannual event, members and guests will hear from keynote speaker Captain Renea Peterson, a motivational coach, mentor, and adjunct professor.

For the past 23 years, a criminal justice professional, the former corrections officer, and mother of three, is now a captain with the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

“She is an invigorating and wonderful speaker,” said Lisa Glassman, Esq., co-chairing the Parkland Chamber event with Andrea Jacobs and State Representative Christine Hunschofsky.

Join some of Parkland’s most successful women in business to gather, network, and learn. The afternoon will include raffles and giveaways, and Glassman said it would be the event of the summer.

“It’s a chance for the women of Parkland to get together to discuss business and have fun,” she said. “As always, men are welcome – they can be some of our biggest supporters.”

The luncheon takes place on Tuesday, June 7, starting at 11:30 a.m. at Parkland Golf and Country Club. The cost is $20 for chamber members and $25 for future members. Register here.

Parkland Golf & Country Club is located at 10001 Old Club Road.
