Back for a second season, the Parkland adult softball league is looking for more men and women to play.

Starting January 9, the co-ed teams will meet to play seven innings of slow-pitch softball on Sunday mornings.

Mayor Rich Walker, who played outfield on “Where’s your Key Fob,” said it was amazing to have six teams in the inaugural season.

“This shows there’s a desire for these types of activities, giving adults within our community another opportunity to get together, make new friends, and strengthen existing bonds,” he said. “I’m looking forward to watching the program grow.”

Interested residents can gather a group of friends to form a team of ten or more players, or they can register on their own.

The cost for a team to join the league is $600, which can be split between the players or paid by a sponsor if the team obtains one.

Residents must be 18 or older to participate, and the games will take place at Pine Trails Park on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. through April 3.
