The Wallet Project February 2021 Workshop series.
By Sharon Aron Baron
The Wallet Project, an educational and inspirational platform for middle school girls to spark their interest in business, is holding a free workshop teaching teens how to become a pro at product development.
Co-founded by Marjory Stoneman Douglas senior Sarah Kathuria and Kirthi Manivannan, a senior at Century High School in Rochester, Minnesota, they created The Wallet Project after discovering the lack of financial education offered at school. They decided they wanted to provide an easy, engaging, yet effective way for young girls to learn about the basics of the economy, business, and overall ways of money management.
The Wallet Project’s two-day event is for girls in 5th through 10th grade and focuses on product development, including design the cycle, target audiences, and building a healthy money mindset.
The online workshops are held June 24 and 25, from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. Register today at www.thewalletprojectt.com.
