Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through September 28.
Animal Bite
6000 block of NW 79th Way
On September 22, while walking on the roadway, a victim was bitten by the neighbor’s dog, which was being walked by the owner, on a retractable leash. The leash was not locked and the dog ran across the roadway to the victim and bit on the buttocks. It was a minor injury only, refused fire rescue.
Battery
5700 block of Godfrey Rd
On September 27, two friends were involved in a fight with each other as mutual combatants. One was pepper-sprayed, and one had some abrasion and bruises. Both refused transportation to the hospital. Both declined to press charges. Both signed a waiver.
Burglary Conveyance
10400 block of Majestic Ct – Parkland Estates
Between September 14 and 22, a victim alleged an unknown person(s) entered her black Honda Odyssey and stole her purse. The vehicle was unlocked.

7100 block of NW 115th Way – Heron Bay
On September 24, an unknown subject entered an unlocked 2015 Hyundai Genesis and removed a resident ID card and a garage door opener.
Criminal Mischief
6000 Hillsboro Blvd
Graffiti was observed on the north side wall of Hillsboro Blvd. and the northeast wall adjacent to the Chevron Gas Station. This is the second incident in the exact location since 9/4/2020. Suspects appeared to write the word “SHOE” in bubble-style writing. No cameras in the rear of BJ’s, and the camera in the rear of the Chevron Gas Station does not capture anything that is not on their property. According to the BSO Gang Unit, this type of writing does not appear to be affiliated with any known gang.

6650 University Dr
On September 27, BSO officer realized they could not locate the gas card, which belonged to patrol vehicle unit #5919. Fleet Services was notified of the missing gas card for unit# 5919 via email with the case number. The on-duty Sergeant was also notified of the missing gas card.
9300 block of Noor Blvd – Four Seasons
On September 22, disturbance call over signs posted in the front yard involving a resident and a maintenance man.
9700 block of Bay Leaf Ct – Parkland Golf & Country Club
On September 23, a person reported she was driving near the listed address, and unknown individuals shouted remarks towards her and her mother, which they took to be offensive.
7700 block of NW 123rd Ave – Heron Bay
On September 25, a nude, unknown male wearing a surgical mask, moved a chair from the property’s front door. The subject placed the chair in the driveway of the adjacent property.
Trespassing
9100 block of NW 68th Ct – The Ranches
On September 24, an unknown black male jumped over the victim’s fence and entered his property without his permit-ion or authority.
5851 Holmberg Rd – Bell Parkland
On September 25, a civil issue between two parties that reside together.
11900 block of NW 78th Pl – Heron Bay, “Greens.”
On September 25, an ongoing verbal dispute between the complainant and a verbally aggressive neighbor toward complaint and he feels may pose a danger.
6600 block of University Dr. – Parkland Reserve
On September 25, a woman advised her ex-husband drove past the home while a temporary injunction was in place. There was no contact made.
5800 block of Holmberg Rd
On September 26, BSO responded to a suspicious incident referencing a male wanting to take belongings out of the home with his ex-girlfriend present.
