A woman is facing eight felony charges, including robbery with a weapon, burglary, false imprisonment, and battery, stemming from an alleged assault on another woman.
According to Coconut Creek Police Department affidavit records, on November 10, a reported robbery and assault took place at the Coconut Palm Club Apartments.
Records show that the incident began when the victim got into a heated argument with her ex-boyfriend, and unknown to her, his daughter, later identified as Sacaya Kyana Louis, 20, of Coral Springs, had been secretly listening to the call.
Later that day, the victim drove to Coconut Palm Club Apartments, and during a conversation, Sacaya and at least one other person reportedly ambushed the victim.
Sacaya is alleged to have approached the victim with a knife, forcing her to abandon the car and run into an apartment.
The situation escalated when Sacaya and others allegedly entered the apartment and attacked the victim. The victim reported being beaten in the living room via punches, kicks, and biting. During the altercation, the suspects forcibly took the victim’s phone and her wig and rummaged through her purse.
Records show the victim claimed as she left Sacaya, and others also allegedly threatened further harm to prevent her from leaving or contacting authorities.
Two days after the incident, the victim reported the attack to the Coconut Creek Police Department, providing evidence of her injuries and a video from Instagram Live. The footage, lasting nearly 18 minutes, shows the suspects bragging about their actions and admitting guilt.
Sacaya is seen holding the victim’s belongings and admitting to the assault. The video also includes statements implicating others in the planning and execution of the attack.
Police later recovered the victim’s abandoned vehicle, which had been vandalized with broken windows, slashed tires, and damaged interior seats. The suspects’ social media posts further corroborated their involvement in the crimes.
On December 4, the victim identified all three suspects in a police photo lineup.
On December 19, Sacaya was arrested and transported to the Broward County Main Jail, where she was charged with eight counts and is being held without bond.
Accomplices in the alleged crimes Sacaya is charged with were not identified in the report.
