The commitments continue to come out of Coconut Creek, with Jayda Palumbo heading to Villanova University.
Entering her junior year of high school at North Broward Prep, Palumbo is thrilled to have the opportunity to continue playing and is grateful to many people for helping her reach this milestone.
“I am so beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to play Division 1 volleyball at Villanova University to continue my academic and athletic career,” Palumbo said.
Palumbo has played on the varsity team at NBP for two years and has recorded 449 kills in only 140 sets. She recorded her 100th career ace last season and has 276 digs and 26 assists. As a team, the Eagles have won 29 matches in the last two years, including the last two District Championships. Palumbo also plays club volleyball with the Tribe and is a standout on the soccer field, having scored 33 goals in two seasons.
Palumbo is set to attend a strong college program that won 17 matches a season ago in the Big East. She is also set to begin her third year on varsity on August 14 in a matchup against Boca Raton Christian High School in the Preseason Classic.
