A new one-stop-shop for the ulta-mutt dog lover is coming to town.
Woof Gang Bakery, a specialty retailer of pet food, supplies, and professional pet grooming, is moving into Parkland Commons.
Previously home to Parkland Animal Clinic, prior to last year’s expansion, Woof Gang Bakery will occupy the 1700 square foot spot adjacent to Laura’s Ultimate Pilates Studio.
Known for offering a warm, welcoming atmosphere, they cater to a specific niche by offering more of a holistic style of food for dog owners who care about their pets and want to make sure they’re healthy.
In October 2007, the first Woof Gang franchise opened in Jupiter, followed by another in Palm Beach Gardens. The new one in Parkland makes 55 locations in Florida for the neighborhood store committed to the well-being, health, and happiness of pets.
Franchise owner Ryan Wesner plans to split time between his three stores in Central Florida and the new one in Parkland.
Wesner, who grew up in Coral Springs and graduated from Coral Springs High School said his parents lived in Heron Bay, so he knows the area well and has always seen the Parkland community as its own little niche.
“It seemed like a good opportunity to bring what we do to the table,” said Wesner.
His store will carry unique, fashionable doggie items, toys, collars, and a wide range of doggie spa products, but Wesner said grooming and nutrition are number one. Their professional groomers are there to pamper and spoil furry family members.

“We are a small business, and we want to be a part of this community and support local pets and their families,” he said.
Married with one son and four fur babies himself, Wesner has always had a love for dogs and opened his first franchise when he saw a need in the Central Florida area.
He saw the Parkland Commons plaza as another perfect op-paw-tunity and plans to be open by June 1.
“I’ve seen lots of dogs in the plaza and there’s already a great vet there. We want to be a part of your neighborhood.”
