North Broward Prep had another player sign to play baseball in college.
A.J. Cutler, a two-time State Champion at North Broward Prep, is committed to Union College in New York.
“It feels great to be committed to knowing my baseball journey won’t end after high school, Cutler said. “It’s relieving to know the college process is over, and I found a place for the next four years.”
Cutler began playing baseball at the age of four, alongside many of his current teammates. In his freshman year, he only made one appearance. However, he excelled during his sophomore and junior seasons, with a batting average of .312, a home run, and 36 RBIs. He also scored 29 runs while leading the Eagles to the State Championship for three consecutive years.
After visiting Union College, Cutler quickly made his decision after seeing the facilities and meeting the coach and players.
“Coach Muller was a key factor; being a new coach is very exciting for the program, and I love his coaching methods and the excitement he brings,” Cutler added. “Another main factor was Union’s education and internships. Union College is a high academic college that my family and I value.“
NBP will begin their season on Wednesday, February 21, against Schoolhouse Prep in the HSBN Elite First Pitch Invitational. Union College is coming off a season where they went 15-23.
