The City of Coconut Creek has an upcoming event for adults with special needs to participate in games, win prizes, listen to music, and enjoy refreshments.
The event is open to individuals 18 or older and will be held on Thursday, May 25, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The event will take place at the Community Center located at 1100 Lyons Road.
The event is designed for individuals who possess independent bathroom skills, can follow basic instructions, and can participate in a group structure. If participants cannot meet the above criteria, they must provide their own assistant for supervision.
Registration for this event is currently ongoing and will end on May 19 or until full. The registration process can be done either online at www.CoconutCreek.net/Webtrac or by walk-in at the Community Center or the Recreation Complex at 4455 Sol Press Boulevard. Individuals wishing to register online must have a WebTrac account before registering.
The event costs $10 for Coconut Creek residents and $15 for non-residents.
This event provides an excellent opportunity for individuals with special needs to socialize, have fun, and feel included in their community.
