The City of Coconut Creek invites families to celebrate the great outdoors during its 15th Annual National Kids to Parks Day.
The event, part of a nationwide initiative to connect children with local, state, and national parks, will be held on Saturday, May 17, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the west field of Sabal Pines Park, located at 5005 NW 39th Avenue.
Open to children ages 5 to 11, the morning will feature a variety of games and activities aimed at encouraging kids to explore nature and enjoy their local parks. The event is free to attend, but space is limited to just 30 participants.
Pre-registration is required and must be completed by May 15. Families can register online at CoconutCreek.net/WebTrac or in person at either the Recreation Complex at 4455 Sol Press Boulevard or the Community Center at 1100 Lyons Road.
