Parkland deputies are searching for four criminals who pulled off two vehicle burglaries and a pickup truck theft within the span of about six minutes earlier this month, records show.
The crimes happened Aug. 9 on Northwest 74th Terrace, where the first victim’s car, a black Chrysler 300, was burglarized at 5:18 a.m., according to incident summaries provided by the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
Surveillance video obtained by deputies showed a black four-door sedan pull into the female victim’s driveway just before the crime. Deputies said that two unidentified males who were carrying flashlights stepped out of the sedan and got into the woman’s Chrysler.
Deputies did not include in their summaries what items the burglars stole from the Chrysler.
After exiting the Chrysler, the two burglars walked down the street with flashlights in hand. At that point, deputies said that the four-door sedan was seen backing down the street and picking one of them up.
Two minutes later, at 5:20 a.m., the same burglary crew—consisting of four unidentified suspects—targeted a second vehicle on Northwest 74th Terrace, according to the incident summaries.
Video surveillance captured the second crime as well. It showed two unidentified males wearing dark hoodies, long pants, and blue latex gloves entering a vehicle.
No details about that vehicle or what items the burglars took from inside are included in the summaries.
After the burglary, deputies said the culprits rode off in the same four-door sedan.
Three minutes later, at 5:23 a.m., two burglars were seen on video entering a 2021 Dodge Ram 2500 at a different home, the records state.
Keys were left in the truck, and this time, the burglars stole the vehicle, deputies said.
It was later found in unincorporated Miami-Dade County, according to BSO.
The total monetary loss for the victims of the three crimes was estimated at $250, records show.
The addresses of the homes where the vehicles were targeted were not made public.
No arrests had been announced as of Aug. 19.
