After another strong season for the Marjory Stoneman Douglas football team, the Eagles had five athletes and Head Coach Quentin Short selected to the Broward County Athletic Association All-Star Game.
Coach Quentin Short led Team North, consisting of Chris Cepeda, Calvin Fowler, Jack Levin, Aris Skarecki, and Rico Penaloza. Team North won the game 30-7.
Cepeda and Fowler were each had tremendous seasons for MSD on defense. Cepeda finished fifth on the team with 26 tackles and had four interceptions, including a 103-yard pick-six against Coral Glades.
Levin and Skarecki played on the offensive line, helped Matthew Wilson run for 937 yards this season, and protected quarterbacks Ryan Spallina and Hunter Rose. Penaloza added 20 catches for 200 yards and a touchdown.

These five seniors helped the Eagles finish the regular season 6-3 and advance to the postseason before they fell to Western High School. All five of these seniors are expected to graduate this spring as they hope to get a chance to play football in college.
