
Coconut Creek Government Center {Google Maps}
This July, the City of Coconut Creek invites residents to “Build Together, Play Together” during Parks and Recreation Month, a nationwide initiative by the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2025.
Throughout the month, residents of all ages can enjoy a variety of free activities, including fitness classes, family game nights, crafts, and outdoor events.
Events will be held at several city facilities, including the Recreation Complex, Creek Fit North, Sabal Pines Park, and the Community Center. While all events are free, some require pre-registration and completion of waivers.
At the Recreation Complex (4455 Sol Press Boulevard):
Board Game Challenge – Tuesday, July 1, 6:30–7:30 p.m.
Trivia Challenge Night – Wednesday, July 2, 6:30–7:30 p.m.
Red, White, and Blue Crafts – Thursday, July 3, 6:30–7:30 p.m.
(For ages 5 and older; registration required)
At Creek Fit North (4455 Sol Press Boulevard):
Free Fitness Class Passes – Monday, July 7 and Wednesday, July 9
(Registration required one day in advance; space is limited. Participants 15–17 must have a parent/guardian-signed waiver.)
Anatomy Academy Trivia – Tuesday, July 8
(Spin the Wheel of Anatomy for prizes; free participation)
Squat Challenge: You vs. Creek Fit Staff – Thursday, July 10
(Free to participate; waiver required)
Uno Game Workout – Friday, July 11, 5:00–6:00 p.m.
(Each card drawn equals a different workout; waiver required)
At Sabal Pines Park (5005 NW 39th Avenue):
Learn How to Prep a Baseball Field – Saturday, July 19, 10:00–11:00 a.m.
(Open to all ages; minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian)
Preserve Our Parks Volunteer Clean-Up – Saturday, July 19, 12:00–1:30 p.m.
(Volunteers of all ages welcome; gloves, pickers, and buckets provided. High school students can earn volunteer hours. Activity waiver required.)
At the Community Center (1100 Lyons Road):
Family Scattergories – Tuesday, July 22, 7:00–8:30 p.m.
Family Karaoke Night – Wednesday, July 23, 7:00–8:00 p.m.
Family Charades – Thursday, July 24, 7:00–8:00 p.m.
