Coconut Creek Police responded to various calls from August 4 to August 10, 2026. Below is a detailed account of the incidents handled by local law enforcement during this period.
Incidents
Theft
Key Food, 4301 W. Hillsboro Blvd., reported a delayed theft on Aug. 4. The estimated loss was $700.
Publix, 4760 W. Hillsboro Blvd., reported a retail theft on Aug. 4. The estimated loss was $44.
Publix, 4760 W. Hillsboro Blvd., reported a delayed retail theft on Aug. 5. The estimated loss was $1,222.
Walgreens, 4600 Coconut Creek Parkway, reported a retail theft on Aug. 8. Police said two suspects left the store with a basket of merchandise and fled in a black Ford Escape.
A theft was reported on West Hillsboro Boulevard on Aug. 9 after a $1,000 phone was taken from a purse during an unrelated domestic incident.
A theft and fraud impersonation incident was reported at Sonata on West Sample Road on Aug. 10. The estimated loss was $10.
Aggravated Assault
An aggravated assault stemming from a road-rage incident was reported near Lyons Road and West Hillsboro Boulevard on Aug. 4.
An alleged aggravated assault was reported on Cocoplum Circle on Aug. 5.
An aggravated assault was reported at Country Lakes Mobile Home Park on Palmleaf Court on Aug. 8.
Battery and Assault
A simple battery was reported on Northwest Third Street on Aug. 7.
Police responded to Planet Fitness, 4911 Coconut Creek Parkway, for a verbal disturbance on Aug. 7. A separate incident shortly after midnight Aug. 8 involved allegations of criminal mischief, witness tampering and assault.
A domestic battery was reported on West Atlantic Boulevard on Aug. 8.
A domestic battery was reported on West Sample Road on Aug. 9.
Police investigated a reported domestic battery at Wynmoor on Portofino Point on Aug. 9. The allegation was determined to be unfounded.
An 86-year-old woman reported being bitten by a neighbor at Wynmoor on Aug. 10. Police said the 74-year-old woman involved was taken to Northwest Medical Center under the Baker Act. No prosecution was pursued.
Burglary
Walmart, 5571 State Road 810, reported a business burglary on Aug. 9 with an estimated loss of $9,650. Police said two juveniles were arrested and charged with burglary, grand theft and criminal mischief.
Domestic Disturbances
Police responded to a domestic disturbance at Sorbet Homes on Northwest 42nd Avenue on Aug. 4.
A verbal argument between brothers was reported at Karanda 6 on Northwest 35th Street on Aug. 5.
A verbal dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend was reported at Pond Apple Place IV on Carambola Circle South on Aug. 5.
A violation of a domestic violence injunction was reported on Sunshine Drive on Aug. 5.
A verbal domestic disturbance was reported at Country Club Lakes on Northwest 74th Place on Aug. 6.
A domestic disturbance involving a mother and child was reported at Coco Parc on Lyons Road on Aug. 6.
A verbal domestic disturbance between a boyfriend and girlfriend was reported on Coconut Creek Parkway on Aug. 7.
A verbal argument between a mother and son was reported at Centura Parc on Northwest 34th Avenue on Aug. 7.
Police responded to a domestic disturbance at Wynmoor on Aruba Way on Aug. 7.
A verbal domestic disturbance was reported at Karanda 5 on Northwest 47th Avenue on Aug. 8.
A verbal domestic disturbance between a grandfather and grandson was reported on Northwest Eighth Street on Aug. 8.
A dating-related domestic disturbance involving an ex-girlfriend was reported at Bell Apartments on West Hillsboro Boulevard on Aug. 9.
A verbal domestic disturbance was reported at Township Estates on Northwest 40th Avenue on Aug. 9.
A verbal domestic disturbance was reported at Carrington on North State Road 7 on Aug. 10.
Other Incidents
Police issued a notice to appear for possession of less than 20 grams of cannabis following a traffic stop on Cocoplum Circle on Aug. 5.
A vehicle door handle was reported damaged at 3003 Portofino Isle on Aug. 5.
An animal bite was reported at Pet Paradise on West Hillsboro Boulevard on Aug. 6.
Police assisted another agency after a vehicle was reported traveling the wrong way on the Sawgrass Expressway on Aug. 7.
A dog was found at Tradewinds Park, 3601 W. Sample Road, on Aug. 8.
A vehicle fire was reported at 6570 N. State Road 7 on Aug. 9.
Police investigated a suspicious incident at the Shell gas station, 6330 N. State Road 7, on Aug. 9.
A traffic stop on Aug. 10 resulted in an arrest for possession of oxycodone and cannabis. Police also placed a firearm into safekeeping.
Arrests
Phillip Anthony Chungyoung, 27, was arrested Aug. 4 on a felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.
Rayanna Suzette Vassell, 23, was arrested Aug. 5 on a misdemeanor charge of possession of cannabis of 20 grams or less.
Javares Torcell Jones, 43, was arrested Aug. 5 on a charge related to a court order or domestic violence injunction.
Shannon Lani Furrer, 27, was arrested Aug. 8 on a misdemeanor domestic battery charge.
Daniel Louis Nocerino, 41, was arrested Aug. 9 on a misdemeanor domestic battery charge.
Fritzroy Hughgeorge Watson, 44, was arrested Aug. 10 on a felony charge of possession of oxycodone.
