Coconut Creek Crime Blotter: Police Investigate $8,800 Watch Theft in Online Purchase Scam

Coconut Creek Police responded to various calls from September 16 to 22, 2025.  Below is a detailed account of the incidents handled by local law enforcement during this period.

Incidents

Domestic Disturbance: Verbal dispute between a 25-year-old male and 21-year-old female at Coconut Palm Club, 5200 NW 55th Blvd. (9/16).

Property Damage: Two separate reports of damage at 4400 NW 42nd Dr. (8/26, reported 9/16).

Retail Theft: Shoplifting at Sprouts Farmers Market, 1019 Lyons Rd. Loss: $1,459 (9/16).

Assault: Reported at Wynmoor, 3405 Bimini Ln. No injuries (9/17).

Retail Theft: Shoplifting at Walgreens, 6390 N State Rd. 7. Loss: $619 (9/17).

Lost Property: Reported at 3953 Cocoplum Cir. (9/16, reported 9/17).

Traffic Complaint: 4800 W Sample Rd. (9/4, reported 9/17).

Bicycle Theft: Coral Creek Shops, 6570 N State Rd. 7. Loss: $300 (9/17).

Vehicle Theft: Stolen vehicle at Banyan Bay, 4403 W Atlantic Blvd. (9/16–9/17).

Criminal Mischief: Tires slashed at 6800 NW 39th Ave. (Incident 9/11, reported 9/17).

Missing Juvenile: Monarch High School, 5050 Wiles Rd. (9/15, reported 9/17).

Theft: Watch purchase not delivered, Casa Palma, 6192 N State Rd. 7. Loss: $8,848 (9/17).

Battery: Reported at Gerber Park. Misdemeanor filing packet issued (9/13, reported 9/17).

Residential Burglary: El Rancho MHP, 5551 Johnson Rd. Involved 17-year-old female suspect. (9/17).

Domestic Disturbance: Verbal dispute at The Landings, 4950 Fishermans Dr. (9/17).

Trespass Arrest: 5400 W Sample Rd. (9/18).

Missing Juvenile: Deerfield Lakes MHP, 6951 NW 43rd Ter. Runaway, endangered (9/18).

Natural Deaths: Reported at 4461 NW 2nd Ct. (87-year-old female, 9/18) and 4571 NW 69th Pl. (ME decline, 9/18).

Fraud: Wynmoor, 1902 Bermuda Cir. Wire/computer fraud, $1,500 loss (9/17, reported 9/18).

Theft: Apple Pay scam, Bell Coconut Creek, 3560 W Hillsboro Blvd. Loss: $150 (9/4, reported 9/18).

Sick Person: Monarch High School student. Parent on scene (9/18).

Runaway Juvenile: Banyan Trails, 4480 Banyan Trails Dr. (9/18).

Drug Violation/DUI: 5400 W Sample Rd. Possession of fentanyl, DUI arrest (9/18).

Juvenile Disturbances: Lyons Creek Middle (rumored fight with weapons, unsubstantiated, 9/18–9/19) and Tradewinds Elementary (student/teacher, 9/19).

Domestic Disturbance: Verbal dispute at 2302 Lucaya Ln. (9/19).

Vehicle Theft: Solaris Health Care, 4125 W Sample Rd. (9/19).

Police Assist: Warrant arrest at Kohl’s, 6950 N SR 7. (9/19).

Residential Burglary Attempt: Olivine Apartments, 3878 Coral Tree Cir. (9/20).

Theft: Four Honda Accord wheels stolen, Bell Apartments, 3590 W Hillsboro Blvd. Loss: $400 (9/20).

Retail Theft: Walmart, 5571 W Hillsboro Blvd. Loss: $119 (9/20).

Business Burglary: Extra Space Storage, 4191 W Hillsboro Blvd. Loss: $1,000 (reported 9/20).

Narcotics: Traffic stop, 4125 W Sample Rd. Marijuana under 20 grams. Arrest made (9/20).

Drug Violation: Traffic stop, 5400 W Sample Rd. Possession of cocaine. Arrest made (9/20).

Other Reports: Found property (9/20, 9/21), Baker Acts (9/21), animal bite (9/21), vehicle burglary (9/21), simple battery (mutual combat, both declined prosecution, 9/21), domestic disturbances (9/20–9/21).

John Michael Midgette, 32: Petit theft $100–$750. (9/16).

Michael Lee Johnson, 54: Trespass, failed to leave property after warning. (9/18).

Jordan Emmamuel Wilkes, 24: Possession of fentanyl. (9/19).

Jonathan J. Blomquist, 38: Disorderly conduct. (9/19).

Hetsron Moltimer, 20: Marijuana possession under 20 grams. (9/20).
