Coconut Creek Police responded to various calls from June 17 to June 23. Below is a detailed account of the incidents handled by local law enforcement during this period.
Property Crimes and Incidents
A 2021 Toyota was stolen from Al Hendrickson Toyota, 5401 W Sample Rd, on June 18.
Two vehicle thefts were reported: one at Banyan Bay Apartments on June 21 and another at an unspecified location involving a smashed window.
A residential burglary occurred at Carrington on June 17, connected to a violation of a no-contact order.
A criminal mischief case involved a Yeti cup thrown at a vehicle near 3600 W Copans Rd on June 22.
Lost or stolen property was reported on Mallards Place (June 18), Coconut Creek Parkway (June 21), and an electric scooter key at 7-Eleven.
Found property was recovered at Promenade (June 21) and 7300 Lyons Rd (June 20).
Retail Thefts
Walmart (5571 W Hillsboro Blvd and SR 810) reported three separate shoplifting incidents between June 18 and 22, with losses ranging from $37 to $339. One arrest was made and a trespass warning issued.
Kohls (6950 N SR 7) reported a $61 theft on June 19; the suspect was released with a notice to appear.
CVS (4550 Lyons Rd) had $15 in cosmetics stolen by three women.
Publix (6570 N SR 7) reported a $220 theft on June 21; the suspect, with prior convictions, was arrested for felony theft.
Walgreens on SR 810 reported a theft incident on June 20.
Fraud and Financial Crimes
A delayed report of a $2,273 fraud via worthless check was made at Vista Verde.
A 76-year-old woman reported $2,400 in online fraud on her Chase bank account from Wynmoor.
Violent Crimes and Assaults
Two aggravated assaults were reported: one on June 19 at Cocoplum Circle and another on June 22 at the Residence Inn.
Multiple simple battery incidents occurred:
Dating violence at Cypress Shores on June 18.
A battery between coworkers at Al Hendrickson Toyota on June 20.
A woman was reportedly battered by an unknown suspect at Pond Apple Place III.
An additional simple battery was reported at Cypress Shores on June 19.
Domestic and Family-Related Incidents
Several domestic disturbances were reported at various locations including Abaco Dr, Hammock Blvd, Lyons Rd, and Cocoplum Circle.
Two violations of court orders/domestic violence injunctions were reported at Carrington and Wynmoor.
Missing Persons
Three adults were reported missing and later located: two from Wynmoor and one from Riviera Palms Condos.
Other Notable Incidents
A suspicious death was reported at The Windsor on Lyons Rd on June 18.
Two cases of elderly abuse or neglect were reported involving a 93-year-old and a 77-year-old.
A child abuse case was reported from Coconut Ridge Estates.
An animal bite incident was reported in Wynmoor on June 22.
Multiple suspicious incidents were documented throughout the city.
Drug and Narcotics Offenses
Narcotics violations led to multiple arrests:
A man was arrested for possession of over 20 grams of cannabis at 3440 W Hillsboro Blvd.
A woman was arrested for possessing oxycodone and less than 20 grams of cannabis at 3600 W Copans Rd.
Two men were arrested for cocaine possession and weapon charges at South Creek.
A traffic stop at 4600 SR 834 on June 21 resulted in a notice to appear for cannabis possession under 20 grams.
Arrests
Patrick Toddjames Burgess, 38, was arrested for felony cannabis possession (over 20 grams) on June 17.
Trenton Jacob Frangos, 23, was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop on June 17.
Aurice Lisa Davis, 26, was arrested for possession of oxycodone on June 17.
Khary A. Leslie, 41, and William Frank Derosa, 42, were both arrested for cocaine possession on June 18.
Nadejda Zgureanu, 39, was arrested for petit theft at Walmart on June 18.
An unnamed male, 33, was arrested for felony retail theft at Publix on June 21 due to prior convictions.
An unnamed male was arrested for trespassing at the Promenade on June 21.
Christopher Andrew Jackman was arrested on June 20 on felony charges related to child/computer pornography and sexual activity with animals.
