Coconut Creek High School’s final two spring sports teams finished the year by making the postseason.
In volleyball, Coconut Creek lost 20-25, 25-22, 21-25, 20-25 against Boynton Beach High School, finishing their season 2-11. Their wins came against Hallandale and McArthur High School while winning two sets against Deerfield Beach and one versus Deerfield Beach, Monarch, and J.P. Taravella.
The track and field team competed at Regionals at Satellite High School, with Kamari Huggins placing ninth in the javelin and Tevin Southerland placing 10th in the discus. Dudley Norcine, Juvens Joseph, Jeremmiah Accius, and Paul Inonme had the top result from their relay teams while Norcine, Joseph, Accius, and Alexander Guillaume ran in the 4 x 800. The third relay team consisted of Darens Jean-Louis, Braylon Alexis, Kamari Huggins, and Alvaro Mondestin. Huggins, Inonme, and Accius competed in the hurdles, while Randy Whitehard and Accius qualified in the shot put and triple jump, respectively.
The girls were led by Jayda Washington, who came in 11th in the long jump. Ruth Ann Powell placed 15th in the 400 meters while also competing in two relays with Farah Charles, Layla Naves, and Salaya Campbell, as well as Washington, Salaya Campbell, and Sanaai Glenn.
