The City of Coconut Creek continues its commitment to green living with the second installment of its 2025 Sustainability Series, “Edible Landscaping: Grow Beauty, Grow Food, Grow Community.”
This free, hands-on, and interactive workshop will take place on Thursday, June 5, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the City Hall Commission Chambers, located at 4800 West Copans Road. Open to all ages, the session will explore how residents can transform their yards or patios into thriving edible gardens while promoting biodiversity and sustainability.
Participants will learn practical techniques for growing fruits, vegetables, and herbs in decorative and functional ways. Attendees will also receive a free plant giveaway and a surprise addition to enhance their backyard ecosystem.
The four-part series is designed to help residents integrate sustainable practices into their everyday lives through engaging, educational projects. Preregistration is required, and space is limited to 100 participants. Interested individuals can reserve a spot by calling the Recreation Complex at 954-956-1580.
