Coconut Creek Recreational Complex {Aiden Palmer}
The City of Coconut Creek is launching Toddler Sensory, a new early-childhood program designed to help toddlers learn through hands-on exploration. The weekly activity series is for children ages 2 to 4.
The program focuses on sensory-based play that encourages curiosity, creativity, and early development. Through guided activities, toddlers will explore textures, sounds, movement, and other sensory experiences in a fun, engaging environment that also promotes social interaction and learning.
Classes will be held Fridays from February 13 through March 6, from 10:15 to 11 a.m., at the Recreation Complex, 4455 Sol Press Blvd. All materials are included, and parent participation is required; one parent must accompany each child.
The cost is $40 for Coconut Creek residents and $50 for non-residents. To qualify for the resident rate, participants must provide a state-issued driver’s license or a valid passport, along with proof of Coconut Creek residency, such as a voter registration card or a recent water, cable, or electric bill. Bills must be dated within two months of submission. Payment is accepted only by credit card.
Space is limited to 10 participants, and registration is open until the program is full. Registration is available online at CoconutCreek.gov/Webtrac or in person at the Recreation Complex or the Community Center, 1100 Lyons Road. A WebTrac account is required for online registration, and assistance is available by calling the Recreation Complex at 954-956-1580.
To verify age and legal guardianship, participants may be asked to bring a copy of the child’s birth certificate when registering in person.
