A 38-year-old Coconut Creek man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on I-95 in Boca Raton Friday morning, authorities said.
The man, whose name was being withheld by authorities pending family notification, was driving a black 2023 BMW X5 on the southbound exit ramp at Congress Avenue at 5:44 a.m. when the SUV struck the curbed median, then collided with a concrete barrier wall, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The SUV then flipped and came to rest on the outside shoulder of the eastbound access road to northbound Interstate 95, with its rear end facing upwards, authorities said.
The driver was pronounced dead from his injuries at the scene by Boca Raton Fire Rescue.
The investigation is ongoing, according to FHP.
