Coconut Creek Police responded to various calls from July 1 to July 7. Below is a detailed account of the incidents handled by local law enforcement during this period.
Vehicle Thefts
A vehicle was stolen from Baywood Village I between 5:00 a.m. and 5:20 a.m. on July 1.
A vehicle with a smashed window was taken from 2904 Victoria Place in Wynmoor overnight between June 30 and July 1.
A vehicle was stolen from 5680 NW 74th Place in Country Club Lakes between the night of July 1 and the morning of July 2.
An attempted vehicle theft occurred at 5361 W Hillsboro Blvd in The Preserve during early morning hours on July 3.
A vehicle was stolen from Vista Verde at 4744 W Atlantic Blvd between July 4 and July 5 after a window was smashed.
Two vehicles were reported stolen from Al Hendrickson Toyota, located at 5201 W Sample Rd, sometime between June 3 and June 28.
Thefts and Burglaries
A theft from a vehicle was reported at Lyons Business Park (6601 Lyons Rd) on July 1, with $50 in items stolen.
Retail thefts were reported at Home Depot ($39), Publix ($117), and Kohl’s ($249), with suspects identified or apprehended in each case.
Sprouts Farmers Market reported a theft of cardboard bales valued at $700 on July 2.
An unknown suspect committed a theft using a gift card at Walgreens on July 1, with an estimated loss of $170.
Fraud and Property Damage
A fraud report was taken on July 1 at 4600 Coconut Creek Parkway after a gift card was used without authorization.
Two property damage reports were filed—one on July 1 at 4836 N State Road 7, and another on July 5 at 6600 N State Road 7.
Other Incidents
A missing adult was reported from Coral Pointe on July 2.
A missing juvenile was reported and later recovered on July 2 from South Creek.
Suspicious incidents were logged at Tallowwood Isle, Banyan Bay Apartments, and 6504 NW 35th Avenue.
A suspicious/unknown death was reported in Wynmoor on July 5 after a 60-year-old male was found deceased on a patio.
Multiple trespassing incidents occurred at the Promenade on Lyons Road on July 5 involving juveniles.
Battery incidents were reported on July 2 in Wynmoor and on July 5 on W Hillsboro Blvd.
Two Baker Act cases were initiated: one on July 3 at Coconut Palm Club Apartments and another on July 4 at Ashton Parc.
An animal bite from June 28 was reported on July 6 in Applewood 2.
An underweight Boston terrier was found and returned to its owner’s ex-wife; Animal Control was notified.
A disturbance between neighbors was reported on NW 51st Way on July 4.
Arrests
Demarcus Shariff Gardner, 37, was arrested on July 4 at 5571 W Hillsboro Blvd for possession of cocaine.
Genesis S. Presley, 24, was arrested for driving while intoxicated on July 4 at 7400 N State Road 7.
Badal Kirit Patel, 37, was arrested on July 6 at 3600 Lyons Rd for driving while intoxicated.
