National Coffee with a Cop Day is approaching on Wednesday, October 1, and the Coconut Creek Police will be celebrating with the community over a cup of coffee.
From 9 to 11 a.m., officers will gather at Tarrazu Coffee Co., located in Creek Plaza at 4863 Coconut Creek Parkway, to meet with residents in an informal setting.
The event is part of a nationwide initiative to break down barriers between police officers and the communities they serve. By providing a casual atmosphere, Coffee with a Cop encourages conversations about public safety, neighborhood concerns, and ways to strengthen trust.
Organizers say the event is designed to foster positive interactions and build stronger relationships between residents and the men and women who protect their neighborhoods.
Community members are encouraged to stop by, ask questions, and share a cup of coffee with local officers.
