In celebration of Earth Day 2025, the City of Coconut Creek is inviting young artists to participate in a series of Earth Day Recycling Poster Contest workshops designed to inspire creativity and environmental awareness.
These free workshops are open exclusively to Coconut Creek residents and students attending schools within the city.
The workshops offer students from kindergarten through eighth grade the opportunity to design a poster promoting recycling. All necessary supplies will be provided, and participants will complete their artwork on-site for submission to the city’s official Earth Day Poster Contest.
Each participant is limited to one entry, and a submission waiver must be completed online at CoconutCreek.net/EarthDayPoster.
Workshops will be held at the Coconut Creek Recreation Complex, located at 4455 Sol Press Boulevard, on the following dates and times:
- Friday, April 11, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, April 22, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Thursday, May 1, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Pre-registration is required, and each session is limited to just 15 participants. Registration will remain open until each workshop reaches capacity. Interested participants may register online at CoconutCreek.net/WebTrac or in person at either the Recreation Complex or the Community Center at 1100 Lyons Road. A WebTrac account is necessary for online registration; residents needing assistance with account setup may contact the Recreation Complex at 954-956-1580.
