Elaine Vinkemulder loves to create artwork.
She was among the artists who displayed their work at the Women’s Club of Coconut Creek Hearts and Craft Fair on February 14.
A longtime resident of Coconut Creek and a member of the Women’s Club, Vinkemulder offered small boxes for jewelry storage and eyeglass cases encrusted with diamond art.
“I enjoy creating art, and I love being a part of this show. I am having a good time today,” she said.
This show was among the largest in recent years, with 58 artists and crafters paying for booths at the Coconut Creek Recreation Complex. Valerie Rosenzweig, who led the fair, was pleased to see people coming together for a positive community event. She said the money raised from the event will go toward scholarships for Coconut Creek high school seniors and to help teachers in the community.
The Women’s Club is paying off outstanding student lunch debt, eliminating over $500 in unpaid balances at eight Coconut Creek public schools as of February 2026. The program is for the 2025-2026 school year. This initiative assists families who have struggled to pay for school lunches, according to Rosenzweig.
