Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through June 28, 2021.
Auto Theft
On June 25, a male victim had his vehicle stolen from his driveway. The victim was unsure if the vehicle was left unlocked. The victim still possessed the only key fob that was provided during the purchase of the vehicle. Police did not observe any sign of forced entry. An area canvass was completed.
Theft
Parkland Bay Drive
On June 23, a 49-year-old male was the victim of Theft. The victim reported that back in December 2019, he hired a person to install blinds in his home. The victim gave a $1,750 deposit to the person for window shades to be installed in the residence. The victim`s check was cashed, but no work was ever started, and no refund has been issued. The person is now ignoring the victim’s calls. Tot. Est. Loss: $1,750.
Theft From Building
South Blue Spring Drive
On June 28, an unknown person entered 7 homes under construction, with garage doors open, and stole a total of 140 circuit breakers from breaker boxes. Tot. Est. Loss: $6,300.
Driving Under the Influence
Loxahatchee Drive
On June 23, a 45-year-old woman was the victim of Driving Under the Influence in the 13300 block of Loxahatchee Rd. A suspect was involved in a crash involving two vehicles. Two victims were transported to the hospital, where medical staff advised that both victims suffered serious bodily injury.
Information
Coral Street
On June 24, a man told police he had been followed around by an unknown person who has been taking pictures of him and his new family.
NW 66th Avenue
On June 28, the reporting person stated he owned a landscaping business and was invited to a person’s property to take measurements for a job when a large mastiff charged him and severely ripped his pants. He did not sustain any dog bites.
Weapons Violation
Holmberg Road
On June 26, a silver Volkswagen was pulled over in the 7500 block of Holmberg Road about a headlight being out. Upon asking if there were any weapons in the car, the front passenger advised there was one concealed underneath his left leg. The front passenger was arrested for carrying a concealed firearm.
Arrests
A 28-year-old male was arrested on charges of Larceny-Petit Theft on NW 123rd Ave on 06/22/2021.
Arroyo, Jazmin, 22, was arrested on charges of Larceny of Credit Card at Walgreens, 2499 Palm Ave, in Miramar, on 06/23/2021.
Turcott, Logan Riley, 23, was arrested on charges of Carrying a Concealed Weapon in the 7500 block of Holmberg Rd on 06/26/2021.
Rivera Diaz, Jorge Daniel, 21, was arrested on charges of Aggravated Assault With a Deadly Weapon-Domestic Violence on Watercrest Cir W on 06/27/2021.
