High school students in Coconut Creek will have the opportunity to prepare for college entrance exams at no cost through a free seven-class SAT, ACT and PSAT preparation camp beginning July 13.
Hosted at the Rowe Community Center, 900 NW 43rd Ave., the program is open to Coconut Creek residents, Coconut Creek public school students and children of City of Coconut Creek employees.
Students may choose between two identical class sessions held on Mondays and Fridays from July 13 through Aug. 3. Session 1 runs from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., while Session 2 runs from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Participants should register for only one session, as both cover the same material.
Parents are encouraged to attend a course orientation with their students on July 13.
The program is designed for sophomores, juniors and seniors preparing for college admissions testing. Instruction will be led by Mr. Alberto, a test-prep instructor with 25 years of experience and founder of AffordableCollegeSolutions.com.
Organizers said the seven-class program offers instruction comparable to a local test-preparation course valued at approximately $800.
The free camp is presented through the Seminole Coconut Creek Education Foundation. Students interested in participating can register online or call 786-877-7231 for additional information.
