A Coconut Creek man was arrested for allegedly assaulting his wife after learning of her affair, including sodomizing her with a sex toy as she slept.
According to a Coconut Creek Police Department report, Edgar Chadrick Samaniego, 34, of Coconut Creek, was taken into custody on May 23 and charged with sexual battery and domestic battery following an incident at a home in the Centura Parc community.
Police say the victim, Samaniego’s wife, contacted authorities to report the assault that took place the previous day.
When officers arrived, they found both parties outside the residence. According to the victim, she and Samaniego had argued earlier in the day after she admitted to having an affair. The situation escalated after she went to bed.
The woman told police she was awakened by Samaniego pulling down her pants and attempting to sexually assault her with a vibrating object while she was asleep. She said she was able to resist the attack but felt extreme pressure consistent with the sex toy entering her without consent.
She later found that Samaniego had accessed and forwarded private messages between her and the alleged affair partner. A further altercation occurred, during which the victim stated Samaniego slapped and repeatedly punched her.
The report indicates that officers noted visible bruising and scratches on her arms consistent with defensive wounds.
Upon questioning, Samaniego allegedly admitted to having the sex toy in his hand during the argument but denied using it.
Based on the victim’s injuries and Samaniego’s partial admissions, police arrested him. He was transported to the Broward County Main Jail.
