
Mason Hall drops back to throw a pass for Monarch High School. {Matt Rothman}
The Monarch High School football team picked up a 49-0 win on senior night against Olympic Heights Community High School, led by a dominant performance from Mason Hall.
The Tuffs University commit did not start the game, but came in and shined while also being recognized at halftime along with Anthony Williams, Sanjae Fisher, Bryan Pierre, Jaden Diaz, Hall, Bryan Bynes, Chris Cortinas, Ryan Pierre, Jadarius Charles, James Primiterra, Dominic Mendez, Rickenson Bozier, Aidan Loriston, Jamal Griffin, Nicholas Soto, Kyle Pearson and Nelson Naud.
Cortinas, Fisher and Conroy Whyte II all caught two touchdown passes while Landon Johnson broke a long run for his first touchdown of the season for the Knights. Monarch is now 4-3 this year and will take on the number one ranked team in the country, ST. Thomas Aquinas High School in their next game on Friday, October 16 at 7 p.m. The Raiders are 7-0 this year and have won the last seven State Championships.
