Residents of Baywood Village II in Coconut Creek will soon have new trees for their community.
During the December 11 meeting, the commission passed a resolution to approve the Baywood Village II Condominium Association for grant funding of $17,243 from the Tree Canopy Replacement Grant program for a multi-category canopy replacement project.
This program allows for reimbursement of up to $30,000.00 for eligible projects that comply with program guidelines, and the Association has agreed to be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the canopy improvement associated with the project. The proposed project meets all program guidelines and standards, according to city information.
The item passed with little discussion among commissioners.
