This is a summary of Coconut Creek’s crime and arrests through April 1, 2024, compiled through our joint effort with the Coconut Creek Police Department to share updates with residents.
Battery
A victim of Battery—a simple Touch/Strike at Sorbet on Johnson Road—was reported on 03/26/2024. A battery between a worker and his boss was also reported.
A victim of Battery – Simple Touch/Strike at Country Lake Mobile Home Park on Parkside Court was reported on 03/27/2024.
A victim of Battery – Simple Touch/Strike on NW 35 Street was reported on 03/27/2024. There were allegations of abuse, but the victim was uncooperative, with no witnesses or physical evidence.
A victim of an Aggravated Battery at Torero’s Mexican Grill was reported on 03/28/2024. Battery on a person 65 years of age or older was reported.
Theft
A victim of Theft – Auto Parts/Accessories at Applewood Village on Carambola Circle S was reported on 03/28/2024. The total estimated loss was $1,200. Theft of 4 tires and four rims was reported.
A victim of Theft – From a Motor Vehicle at Sable Pines Park on NW 39 Avenue was reported on 03/28/2024. The total estimated loss was $400. Theft from an unlocked vehicle was reported.
A victim of Vehicle Theft – Auto on NW 44 Lane was reported on 03/26/2024.
A victim of Vehicle Theft – Motorcycle at Windsor on Lyons Road was reported on 03/27/2024. A dirt bike was stolen overnight.
A victim of Vehicle Theft – Auto at Cypress Shores on Lyons Road was reported on 03/28/2024. A vehicle was taken overnight from the parking lot.
A victim of Theft From a Motor Vehicle, Sabal Pines Park on NW 39 Avenue, was reported on 03/28/2024. A debit card was stolen and used at Walmart.
Death
A victim of Death – Suspicious/Unknown at Calvary Chapel on N State Road 7 was reported on 03/26/2024.
Civil Complaint
A victim of a Civil Complaint on Portofino Point was reported on 03/27/2024. Allegations of Elderly exploitation were reported, but in reality, it was a civil dispute.
Animal Bite
A victim of an Animal Bite on Partridge Court was reported on 03/27/2024. A possible Raccoon Bite at Country Lake Mobile Home Park was reported.
Animal Abandonment
A victim of Animal Complaint—other. Animal Abandonment at Fern Forest on S Lyons Road was reported on 03/30/2024. A large dog was abandoned at the park entrance inside a cage.
Fraud
A victim of Fraud – Identity Theft was reported on 03/27/2024. At the Mercedes-Benz Dealership, attempted fraud via Social Security number was reported.
Stolen/Buy/Sell/Possess
Ean Holdings was a Property – Stolen/Buy/Sell/Possess victim on Lyons Road, reported on 03/28/2024.
Arrests
Ferrell, Douglas Robert, 33, was arrested on a charge of Violation of Probation–Robbery at 4570 Lyons Road on 03/26/2024.
Bryan, Shandel Dwayne, 41, was arrested on a charge of abusing a Child Without Great Bodily Harm on 03/26/2024.
Joseph, Jeffrey, 39, was arrested on a Grand Theft Of Firearm charge at 1400 Lyons Road on 03/28/2024.
Vonsheila Tatyana Vasilievna, 54, was arrested on 03/30/2024 at 5571 Hillsboro Blvd on a charge of petit theft -2 degree—1 offense.
Janssonkellman, Charlotta A., 54, was arrested on a Violence Injunction Protection Domestic charge at 3713 Asperwood Circle on 03/30/2024.
