Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes that occurred in Parkland through April 5.
Burglary Conveyance
6900 block of NW 84th Ave – BBB Ranches
On April 2, the victim reported her Acura was entered via unlocked doors overnight. The glove box was open and a small bottle of hand sanitizer was taken. No latent prints were obtained.
Burglary Residence
6400 block of NW 62nd Terrace – Pine Tree Estates
On April 3, we covered the story of a suspect who was seen removing the screens to the back window of the victim’s residence, activating the alarm. A perimeter was established, and he was located by the K9 unit in some bushes at the 6200 block of Holmberg Road. He was positively identified by the victim, arrested and taken to Broward County Jail.
Fire
7621 North State Road 7 – Waterways Shoppes at Parkland
On April 3, deputies made contact with the reporter, who advised that while he was on his way home from WAWA gas station, his black golf cart stopped working and caught fire.
Information
8400 block of Lakeview Trail – Town Parc at MiraLago
On April 3, deputies made contact via cell phone in reference to a delayed information report about a reckless driver that lives within the community.
