Although the Parkland Library is currently closed for public entry, there are many opportunities for residents to enjoy.
Materials are available for checkout online with curbside pick-up, or by calling 954-757-4200 to reserve items. Books and DVDs can be picked up outside the main entrance to the library, located at 6620 North University Drive.
The Parkland Library is now offering virtual programming as well. All programs are free and take place via Zoom, but pre-registration is required.
From storytime for children, starting at age 3, and cartooning for children seven and up, there are a variety of options. Book discussions for adults are also taking place. Just check the calendar for the dates and times.
Even though the doors are closed, Parkland Library’s “Imagine Your Story” Summer Reading Club is open. Children can keep a log of books they read to earn prizes all summer. They just need to pick up their summer reading logs outside the main entrance of the library. Summer reading prizes are also available by ringing the call button outside of the library.
Each person, ages 2 through adult, will receive a small gift for coming in and registering for the “Imagine Your Story” Summer Reading Club. More books read equals more prizes earned. Residents must have a Parkland Library card to register.
