State Rep. Christine Hunschofsky, D-Parkland, is known for her commitment to serving the residents of northwest Broward County, but she’s also passionate about mentoring the next generation of civic leaders.
Hunschofsky’s internship program continues to attract motivated students with a passion for public service, offering them a front-row seat to how local and state government operates.
During a June 24 town hall meeting in Coconut Creek, Hunschofsky took a moment to recognize the high school and college interns who have worked in her office over the years.
“They help me by attending events, writing letters, and working with graphics,” she said. “They are very dedicated and have an interest in learning about government.”
Among those interns is Prisha Patel, a Coral Springs resident and student at American Heritage School, who said the internship has given her a deeper understanding of how government functions.
