
Coconut Creek Fire Rescue {Aiden Palmer}
Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Coconut Creek Monday afternoon, authorities said.
The crash happened around 2:10 p.m. at the intersection of Copans Road and Northwest 42nd Avenue, according to the Coconut Creek Police Department.
Emergency crews transported both injured people to Broward Health North for treatment, police said. Their conditions were not immediately released.
As officers investigated the crash and worked to clear the scene, eastbound lanes of Copans Road were briefly shut down between Lyons Road and Northwest 42nd Avenue, police said.
Police were urging drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes until the roadway reopens.
