The Seminole Coconut Creek Education Foundation (SCCEF) awarded $142,000 in scholarships this May to high-achieving graduating seniors from three public high schools in the City of Coconut Creek.
Recognizing students for academic excellence and extraordinary community service, the top scholarship recipients in each category earned $2,500 awards. The students honored include:
- Atlantic Technical High School:
- GPA: Cesar Moctezuma (5.0986)
- Service Hours: Sofia De Los Santos (1,094 hours)
- Coconut Creek High School:
- GPA: Thanh Ho (5.5351)
- Service Hours: Paris Nicolas (2,066 hours)
- Monarch High School:
- GPA: Emily Baker (5.3077)
- Service Hours: Samantha Romero (1,827 hours)
Monarch High School held its awards ceremony on May 12, followed by Coconut Creek High on May 13, and Atlantic Technical High on May 22. Scholarship amounts were determined using third-quarter data for grades and service hours.
